Account Deletion Guide

Learn how to permanently delete your AppScout account and all associated data.

Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be immediately and permanently removed from our servers.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your AppScout account, the following data is permanently removed:

Note: If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription billing.

Method 1: Delete From the App (Recommended)

Open Account Settings

Launch AppScout and navigate to your profile settings.

Tap Delete Account

Scroll to the bottom of the account settings screen. Tap the "Delete Account" button.

Confirm Deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear listing all data that will be removed. Tap "Delete Permanently" to confirm.

Account Deleted

Your account and all associated data are immediately deleted. You will be signed out and returned to the welcome screen.

Method 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you cannot access the app or prefer to request deletion by email:

Send Deletion Request

Email support@elfarabey.com with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

Include Your Information

In your email, include the email address associated with your AppScout account and confirmation that you want all data permanently deleted.

Wait for Confirmation

We will verify your identity and delete your account within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I recover my account after deletion?

No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.

How long does deletion take?

If you delete from within the app, your data is removed immediately. Email requests may take up to 30 days.

Will my data remain in backups?

Your data may persist in backup systems for up to 30 days after deletion, after which it is permanently removed from all systems.

What happens to my subscription?

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. Cancel it through the App Store or Google Play first to avoid continued billing.

Can I create a new account with the same email?

Yes. After deletion, you can create a new account using the same email. None of your previous data will be restored.

What if I signed in with Google?

Deleting your AppScout account does not delete your Google account. It only removes your AppScout data and unlinks the Google Sign-In connection.

Alternative: Sign Out Instead

Not ready to delete? If you want to stop using the app temporarily, consider signing out instead. Your data will remain safely stored, and you can sign back in anytime.

To sign out without deleting:

  1. Open Profile → Settings → Account
  2. Tap "Sign Out"
  3. Confirm sign out
